I visit Vivocity on a regular basis since it’s a short bus journey from school. The King Louis Grill & Bar first opened last December if I’m not wrong. I have always wanted to check the place out after seeing photos that my friend uploaded. It’s one of those restaurants with interesting deco and features.
I didnt have lunch that day so I was famished and kinda pleaded with my friend to go for a slightly early dinner. Thus we went in at 5pm and we had the place to ourselves. We took quite a while to decide what to have because they have so many things to choose from!
I’m a cheese lover so I finally settled for the Crispy Cheesy Chicken with Shitake Mushroom & Salsa ($16.90). The curly fries are good! In fact, I had to tell myself to get started on the chicken instead. The chicken wasnt exactly very crispy, it was more like chicken chop. And it wasnt very cheesy as well. The portion is huge and I didnt manage to finish the fries.
My friend had the Grilled Ribeye Steak with Lamb Chops ($24.90). He claimed that it is value for money since there was steak and lamb chops. Haha. These were served in rosemary herbs and mint sauce. I did not toy with the idea of trying even one bite since I knew that finishing my own share was quite impossible.
All I can say is that I’m not particularly fond of Western food (except for fish and chips) so I doubt I’ll be visiting The King Louis Grill & Bar again.
Total bill was exactly $50 after GST.
