Hellooooo everybardy! I have been really busy lately but I managed to squeeze time out for this blog post π Hubby Chewy and I were invited to my secondary school friend’s wedding on Sunday! Siti and I were in the same class from Sec 1 to 4. We didn’t really keep in contact after that but we happen to follow each other on Twitter in recent years. I really think that Twitter is a more intimate form of social media as compared to Facebook. Well, that’s my own opinion π I didn’t expect Siti to invite me to her wedding but when she did, I had to accept her invitation! π I specially dug out this slightly bling bling turquoise dress from my wardrobe which I had never worn before! π
The venue was at Bukit Panjang Community Club which is really near my place but we cabbed down because I was afraid that we would miss the couple if they were to head to Tampines. Anyway, the decoration of the interior looked really nice and grand!
I swear that I actually heaved a huge sigh of relief when I saw Siti and Hidayat sitting on the red couch, because it meant that we could still take pictures with them. Haha! π
We had to queue up if we wanted to have our photos taken with them. Machiam superstar leh! And while waiting I told misterchewy, “Wah! I’m so nervous!” To this he replied, “You nervous for what. You’re not the one who’s getting married..” Okay.
Yay! We went up on stage and I passed Siti a red packet with a Precious Moments print on it. Sorry but I don’t have a green packet! I heard that the head thingy that Siti wore weighs a tonne. Their couple outfit looks nice huh? And Siti is so cantik! Hehe! π
Congrats once again, Siti and Hidayat! π
The beautiful three tier cake!
Snapped some shots of the dessert section when we got off the stage π
Right after I was done with this shot, misterchewy asked, “Why that table over there keep looking at you ah? You know them?” I was like, “Errr don’t think so leh.”
Then I saw Aishah waving at me! She and Asari (no they are not a couple) walked over and we chatted for a while. They were my Sec 1 and 2 classmates! π
LOL I rushed back to the stage when I saw that Siti and Hidayat were posing for shots. Felt like a paparazzi YO! π
And it was time for the cake cutting ceremony! I think they were supposed to give a speech. Hmmm.. Perhaps the itinerary had been shifted around and we missed that. Anyway, this is one of my favorite shots! π
Ok this is my favorite! Very sweet and blissful π
Special table setting for the bride and groom.
Awwww.. So loving! π
Haha an iPhone got in the way of my shot but it’s ok! π
Hehehe cheeky bride showing me the victory sign.
Siirin and I spotted each other when we were getting ready for the group shot. I think we were in the same class only in upper sec π Old liao, can’t remember. I was asking her little one, “Handsome boy, what’s your name?” He gave me a shy smile. Awwww!
I was too busy taking photos! Time for some food. The black pepper chicken was awesome! Yummy! π
Rushed to take photo as Siti and Hidayat were leaving to go over to Tampines.
I like the smoke effect! There was a bubble one too.
We stayed around for a while more before taking a bus down to Orchard! Wheeee! π Haha I usually spend Sundays playing tennis but it felt great to be able to spend time with misterchewy! We played darts at Cineleisure. Our first time! One of the guys commented that I’m ‘quite good’ because out of 12 tries, I hit the bull’s eye 3 times π But then again, 2 times were way of target and it bounced off the board and onto the floor. Awkward max.
Uncommon sight! There was a military band playing to the tune of “M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E” song! OMG. Cute!
Hopped on the bus along Orchard Road and we headed for Clarke Quay next. Dinner at Brewerkz! Our first time again! π
Hubby Chewy heard that the buffalo wings are good so we were keen to give it a try. There is a choice of mild, hot and suicide. Decided to play it safe and went for the hot wings. Not exactly very hot, and it was a little sourish. Next time should try suicide! π
I wasn’t feeling very hungry so we only ordered one other dish, which was the roasted duck pizza otherwise known as Quack Quack. Hurhur. I prefer Timbre’s!
Wokay! That’s all folks! Have a great week ahead π
Wow,such a grand banquet and nice decoration! The sweet couple looked nice in their elegant outfit:)
yup i think so too!
the wedding is super pretty!
Hey Jiamin, thanks for dropping by again! π Haha i love the red couch! Looks damn nice la π
I have only been to a malay wedding once, when i was sec 2. I remember the wedding gift the couple gave was an egg!
Oh ya, my mum told me about it too! We received coasters instead π
Hi babe! Do you by any chance know where did the couple get their beautiful three tier wedding cake from? My brother’s getting married soon and that cake seems to be the one I am looking for as a gift to the lovebirds! π
I asked the bride! It’s from http://perfectfrosting.multiply.com π
