Before we head off for our long awaited trip next month, I thought I had better clear my outstanding posts on our short getaway last August! So here’s the first part of our Bintan trip! Prior to this, we took Little misschewy along to Phuket, Hong Kong and Bangkok. It is a whole different experience when you are travelling with a baby or toddler. We wanted some couple time to ourselves and my parents were more than willing to help babysit the little one over the weekend.
Filled our tummies before boarding the ferry!
As it was a Friday, the ferry was pretty empty and we chose to sit by the window.
The journey took about 1.5 hours, which was a little longer than estimated. Checked ourselves into Bintan Lagoon Resort for two nights!
We looked through the activities list and booked our slot for the All Terrain Vehicle.
Passed by some shops while making our way to our room.
Our Deluxe room was clean and comfortable for our two-night stay.
After lounging in our room for a bit, we went for our ATV session! No tourist in sight!
It was our first time riding an ATV and it was suuuuuuper exciting!
We took the one-hour session and kept swapping places lol. Our guide was nice to offer to help us take photos at various spots.
Nua-ed for a bit because riding an ATV felt like an exhausting affair! Phew!
Walked over to the Leisure Centre to enquire about their activities.
The hubs wanted to try archery which I wasn’t so keen on because I found it quite boring when I learned archery as a Girl Guide. Hehehe. I mean.. Just stand there and shoot arrows. What’s so interesting about it?
It has been more than 10 years but I still remember the techniques and stance, etc.
Even the instructor was impressed and commented that I was the best he had seen so far. We later found out that he just joined Bintan Lagoon Resorts not long ago only. LOL!
We had dinner at one of the resort’s restaurants and the food was ridiculously priced. Can’t remember how much these lamb chops cost but we were kinda stunned by the portion. Haha. Seriously 吃不饱 lor.
Apart from that, it felt great being able to do relaxing activities for a change! Stay connected with us on Facebook www.facebook.com/missuschewy and on Instagram @missuschewy 🙂
