Arteastiq at Plaza Singapura Food Review

Tasting Invite

P9051999

The last time misterchewy and I visited Arteastiq’s flagship outlet at Mandarin Gallery was a few years ago. It was an impromptu decision to have afternoon tea there on a weekday but it was the best decision ever! I remember lusting over Arteastiq’s famous apple and orange cakes, as well as their lovely dessert teas! Thanks to Agnes from ATMC, misterchewy and I got to be one of the first to try Arteastiq’s revamped menu at Plaza Singapura, their new outlet which opened end August this year.

P9051990

Just like its flagship outlet, the newly opened Arteastiq at Plaza Singapura also serves to provide a sanctuary for city dwellers to retreat from the stress of living in fast-paced Singapore, while enjoying the ambience of contemporary Europe tucked in a cosy corner. The dining area of the new boutique tea house accommodates 68 pax while the art jam studio can accommodate 24 pax, totalling to a maximum capacity of 92.

P9051992

P9051993

In true Arteastiq fashion, the new location provides a view of lush greenery and social art jammers will be able to let their creative juices flow in the art jam studio adjacent to the premium tea lounge. While we were dining there, I couldn’t help but observe the art jammers work on blank canvases from scratch and it does seem to be a very therapeutic and enjoyable activity for people of all ages!

P9052001

Arteastiq has launched a charity program called “Get Creative for a Good Cause” in collaboration with the Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) (RDSS). Individuals are encouraged to submit their artwork from their art jamming sessions at Arteastiq and these art pieces will be put up for sale. Upon successful sales of Art Jammers’ artwork donation, Arteastiq will refund the Art Jammer as a sponsorship and donate all proceeds to Rare Disorders Society Singapore. Photographed above are some of the art pieces by local celebrities like Dawn Yeoh, waiting to be purchased for a good cause. Each Art Jamming session costs $48 per person and comes with one standard 50cm x 50cm cotton canvas, unlimited flow of acrylic paint, one set of brushes, and one choice of Arteastiq lite specialty beverages.

P9051955

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Arteastiq serves an incredibly extensive range of beverages which are categorized into Fruit Teas, Ginger Teas, English & Floral Teas, Chinese & Japanese Teas, Blency, Blencelato, Dessert Teas, Coffee, Tea Latte, Cioccolata and Steam Milk. I have a thing for floral teas and selected the Cold French Rose Tea ($7.40). It came in a large pot which was sufficient to be shared between two people. Brewed with the finest floral tea leaves, the French Rose Tea was delicate and fragrant, which also had a calming effect.

P9051962

Don’t you think that it is a very bold move to name your own mushroom soup as The Best Mushroom Soup in the World ($12)? We immediately caught a whiff of truffle as soon as the mushroom soup was served to our table. It was creamy and had a smooth consistency, with tiny bits of mushroom that we bit into. Definitely not the best but it was quite good. Having said that, the hubs and I wiped the entire pot clean! Perhaps a little less salt would work wonders.

P9051957

The other starter that we had was Nordic Lights – Soba Salad ($16). Presentation wise, it was interesting to serve the combination of greens, smoked salmon, soba noodles and cherry tomatoes on a huge tortilla bowl. I love how clean tasting and easy to stomach this was.

P9051959

The mains of the revamped menu is divided into two segments: ‘Ladies Affairs’ and ‘Gentleman’s Dinner’, which was conceived with the idea of having foods specifically engineered for both genders, with the ladies preferring lighter and more sophisticated items while the gentlemen tend to favor hearty and robust dishes. We tried 3 items from the ‘Gentleman’s Dinner’ section. The Beijing’s Dynasty – Duck Pancake ($28) is stuffed with tender and juicy chunks of duck confit, wrapped around light, fluffy crepes. Generously drizzled with orange caramel, the harmonious marriage of sweet and savory is indisputable. You really can’t say no to another piece of Arteastiq’s duck pancake.

P9051963

The Latin Lover – Frijolles ($25) is made up of baked Mexican pork bean stew that is cooked with sausages, eggs, topped with arugula, and a side of country bread. If you have not tasted Mexican food before, you should give this a try. It is amazing because you can really taste the complex flavors in every bite!

P9051980

The Boston Love Boat – Ciponio ($29) sounds feminine but the seafood and saffron stew is very rich and robust. It is actually served with a light puff pastry covering the soup bowl and comes with a side of crispy sweet potato fries. The best way to eat this is to savor each spoon of stew together with the pastry. Tomato has also been added into the mix so the result is very tantalizing and hearty. Also, there are plenty of fresh ingredients such as prawns, scallops and mussels in this one! Eat this on a cold rainy day, confirm shiok!

P9051966

Moving on to the ‘Ladies Affair’ section, the Louisiana Love – Chicken And Waffles ($22) is a dish that I definitely wouldn’t mind ordering again and again. The pan-fried dredged buttermilk chicken and wholewheat waffle proved to be a winning combination, especially when slathered with Arteastiq’s own improvisation of margarine, a tasty maple butter!

P9051969

And finally before we move on to desserts, the Summer in Provence – Foiegras ($28) is DA BOMB. I believe not just the ladies, but even the gentlemen will truly enjoy this gastronomic indulgence. It is such a brilliant idea to serve seared foie gras with lightly baked eggs!

P9051974

Mix the eggs and foie gras for an ultimate eating experience! The taste of the foie gras was further enhanced by the egg yolk. There is also a slice of bread served with this dish for diners to soak up all that yummy goodness!

P9051982

The desserts that we tried were good, but didn’t manage to outshine the mains we had earlier. The New York Connection ($15) is basically french toast with brie, served with coffee syrup and vanilla gelato.

P9051986-tile

I have a strong preference for sweet stuff but the Whirling Mist ($12) is highly recommended nevertheless. The Lemon Meringue Tart was unusually sour in a refreshing way. Of course, I soon found myself digging into the dark chocolate gelato.

P9051989

Arteastiq is not just a place for afternoon tea. Their mains are pretty exceptional so you should head there to try them out for yourselves! And don’t forget to indulge in some art jamming 😉

Pince & Pints Singapore Food Review

P9092054

Pince & Pints officially opened in July last year and refusing to jump onto the bandwagon like everyone else, here I am reviewing this lobster bar at Duxton Road more than a year later. LOL kidding. Truth is, we weren’t invited for any tasting (it’s ok la we can afford to pay hahaha) and this place doesn’t take in any reservations. We actually swung by Pince & Pints last year with two other friends but were told that the waiting time was estimated to be about 2 hours. Ridiculous or not? Anyway, Pince & Pints will be opening up a second level next month, which means more seats for everyone and shorter waiting time!

P9092053

The hubs had always wanted to visit Pince & Pints, and given that our agenda was to celebrate his birthday, I was obliged to make him happy. Hahaha. Of course, we are still bummed out by the fact that we didn’t manage to try Burger & Lobster when we went to London for our Europe honeymoon trip in 2013. It was depressing because we specially made a trip to Burger & Lobster three nights in a row. Sad story but let’s not go into it.

P9092056

After work, we wasted no time and chionged to Duxton Road. The place was relatively empty before 7pm and we were ushered to the second table nearest the entrance. There were only 4 items on the menu – namely Live Whole Lobster (Steamed or Grilled), Chili Lobster with Mantou and The Lobster Roll, all priced at $58++. When we visited, the new Truffle Lobster Roll ($68++) had not been launched yet which was a pity because WE LOVE TRUFFLES.

P9092070

My date for the night! 🙂

P9092067

When the servers offer you these aprons (or are they bibs?), do not turn them down! Eating the lobsters, especially if you order the chili lobster, can be a very messy affair 😉

P9092071

The hubs initially wanted to order the Live Whole Lobster but he changed his mind and chose the Chili Lobster with Mantou upon knowing that I wanted that too. More variety for the blog mah! LOL. Very noble ah, misterchewy 😛

P9092073

I wish they would come up with a black pepper lobster instead because I’m not the biggest fan of our Singapore style chili sauce. The hubs offered me half of his Chili lobster and surprisingly, the sauce wasn’t as crappy as what I had expected. Pince & Pint’s special chili sauce recipe uses ingredients like roma tomatoes, ginger, lemon grass, garlic and egg. The sauce was full-bodied and tasted a little spicy. Of course, this played an excellent supporting role to the star which was the freshly flown in lobster from North America. Firm, succulent and meaty best describe the lobster we had!

P9092076

I was trying to decide if I should opt for the steamed or grilled version of the Live Whole Lobster and went with the latter. Served with mesclun salad, sour cherry, balsamic dressing, shoestring fries and herbed butter sauce, this dish was truly a beauty waiting to be photographed from all angles. No I’m just kidding because more than half the kitchen staff would look amused. #truestory 😛

P9092078-tile

I absolutely love how the lobster was grilled to perfection! It was still chunky and juicy, plus the natural sweetness of the lobster really shined through. Paired with the herbed butter sauce, the taste of the grilled lobster was totally divine. My only gripe, however, was that my lobster had giu chwee (shrunk in size)! There was significantly lesser meat than what we had for the Chili lobster. Maybe the steamed lobster would have been a better choice!

P9092060

I rarely say this but service was attentive and top notch. Plates were changed, water was refilled, wet tissue packets were given out, all on a very prompt basis without us even having to ask!
Will we ever be back? Oh yes we will jio all our friends! Stay connected with us on Facebook www.facebook.com/missuschewy and on Instagram @missuschewy and @misterchewy 🙂

All New Bio-essence Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream for that V Face!

Advertorial

P9041861

I have been a long standing and loyal consumer of Bio-essence’s Face Lifting Cream for a few years now and I’m really psyched to be able to share in greater detail about some of Bio-essence’s latest products which had been launched since July this year.

P9041863

Since young, I always receive comments from friends that my face is very round, which I totally hate. When it comes to taking photos, I will be trying to stand behind everyone else so that my face doesn’t look too big. I have also tried to contour my face to make it look slimmer but to no avail! Speaking of makeup, I feel that the makeup that I apply doesn’t stand out and last throughout the day because of my dull skin. I’m glad that I gave Bio-essence’s Deep Exfoliating Gel and Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream a try because these two products helped to address those issues!

P9041904

Have you ever wondered how exfoliation is an essential step of every skincare regime? It is very important that we exfoliate our faces regularly as the act of exfoliating helps to clear pores of deep layers of dead skin and dirt. Only then will the skin be able to better absorb skincare products that are subsequently being applied, with the active ingredients of the products being able to freely nourish cells. Regular exfoliation of our faces also leads to clearer and brighter skin!

P9041897

In order to cater to consumers of different skin types, Bio-essence has introduced two new extensions to its well-received Deep Exfoliating Gel. The Bio-essence Deep Exfoliating Gel (Oil Control) contains ingredients such as Royal Jelly, ATP, natural Tea Tree Leaf and Tea Tree Essential Oil to control excess sebum, thus resulting in a naturally matte and shine-free complexion.

P9041905

Tea Tree also contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which help clear the complexion of blemishes and prevent breakouts.. I squeeze a small amount of the Deep Exfoliating Gel onto dry fingers and massage it in a circular pattern all over my face. Bits of dirt and dead skin are gotten rid of in no time! I really like the smell of Tea Tree and after one wash, my face felt incredibly smooth! My skin also looks noticeably clearer and as a heavy user of makeup, I’m happy that my makeup glides on easily on my face and it also stays on longer too! I used to shun using exfoliating facial products because my skin is pretty sensitive and the harsh and rough beads often cause my face to look red. Bio-essence’s Exfoliating Gel is mild and gentle to the skin as it does not contain harsh exfoliating beads so I highly recommend it!

P9041908

Bio-essence Deep Exfoliating Gel (Sensitive Skin) contains German Chamomile which works in harmony with Royal Jelly and ATP to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier against environmental stressors and soothes the skin during the cleansing process. This product is especially suitable for people with sensitive skin as it gently and thoroughly removes impurities and also lighten pimple marks and scars!

A32A6777

Believe it or not, my mum bought me my very first jar of Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream (with ATP) a few years ago and I have not looked back ever since. I remember marvelling at how the cream was able to reduce my double chin and make my face look noticeably smaller. We ladies know how difficult it can be to find our most flattering angle for a selfie. Not surprisingly, the Face Lifting Cream is Bio-essence’s best selling product. Bio-essence’s Face Lifting Cream to the rescue! The new Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream with Royal Jelly and ATP which is an anti-aging range, comes with the new ingredient Bio Face-Lift, helping to lift and firm skin while at the same time, helps people to achieve a V-shaped contour, thus appealing to people young and old!

Here’s taking a look at some of the benefits of using Bio-essence’s Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream:

– Lifts facial contours
– Reduces double chin
– Deeply nourishes and moisturizes skin
– Creates a youthful V-shaped face

Bio-essence’s Extra Strength Face Lifting cream is able to burn excess facial fats for a more defined V-shape through its special formula which invigorates the senses and enhances blood circulation of the skin cells. There isn’t a need to undergo invasive clinical procedures to achieve the same result!

A32A6782-tile

I have been using the Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream every day and night after cleansing for two weeks now. In order to achieve best results, make sure that you apply in an upward lifting motion. What I do is that I use my fingertip to dip a small amount of cream and gently massage it onto my face with light upward strokes using both hands until all the cream is absorbed, which should take at least 1 minute to see obvious results. There will also be a slight tingling sensation but please do not be alarmed, as it means that your excess facial fats are being burned! Whoohoo!

A32A6790

I’m excited about Bio-essence’s new Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream because the results appear almost instantly before your very eyes. The products comes with a ruler in the packaging, so you can measure your before and after effects. My skin feels firmer and I can finally bid goodbye to my annoying double chin! The Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream is clinically proven to reduce visible wrinkles up to 40% and also a 13% improvement in skin elasticity in 10 minutes! How amazing is that!

4th Wedding Anniversary Marina Mandarin Staycation Review

A32A6847

Happy 4th wedding anniversary to us! We celebrated the special occasion in advance by taking a day off work for a staycation at Marina Mandarin hotel last Friday. The husband and I didn’t have any concrete plans until I chanced upon Marina Mandarin’s flash deal on their Facebook page, promoting 50% off their usual room rates which was impossible to resist! Booked a room without having to think twice! 😛

A32A6848

We haphazardly threw in some clothes and other stuff into our mini luggage before leaving our house that morning. Reached Marina Mandarin around 1.30pm and there was already a queue at the check in counter. The check in procedure also took up quite a bit of our time.

A32A6825

We were given a room on the 16th floor which is pretty high! It was great because the room I booked promises a view of Marina Bay. Actually, Premier rooms are all located on higher floors of the hotel.

A32A6831

A32A6712

TADAH!! Our Premier Marina Bay View room was incredibly spacious and I appreciate it especially when Little misschewy is with us. She has more room to walk around and explore without bumping or knocking into hard surfaces. Of course, the bed looked way too comfy to her too 😉

A32A6714

Our well-appointed Premier room exudes contemporary elegance, with modern furnishings that feature a combination of glass and rich fabrics. I was so tempted to just put everything down and jump into bed.

A32A6716

From a blogger’s perspective, the executive desk and ergonomic chair provide a comfortable and organized area for you to work on your laptop or tablet. Hehe.

A32A6709

The marble-clad bathroom was super spacious, featuring a deep-soaking marble bathtub as well as a separate glass-enclosed shower.

Housekeeping finally sent the baby cot to our room and it’s a great way to ‘confine’ the little one so that we don’t have to chase her around. Haha.

A32A6722

P9051938

Time for milk!

A32A6749

A32A6842

We went round to explore the hotel and were intrigued by these bird cages that we saw.

A32A6839

There are a handful of dining options at Marina Mandarin, namely Aquamarine, Peach Blossoms, Atrium Lounge, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Cafe Mocha. I have been to Aquamarine with my colleagues and their buffet dinner is pretty good!

A32A6850

One of the things that we like about Marina Mandarin is that it is linked to Marina Square, making it extremely convenient for hotel guests.

IMG_5579

The little one fell asleep in the carrier while we were deciding what to have for lunch. We then went to Teppei Syokudo at Millenia Walk for our favorite kaisendon!

P9051947

And also hazelnut chocolate honey toast at Dazzling Cafe!

P9041884

Went back to our room to rest and freshen up before heading out again for dinner. Kiddy ride for Little misschewy to reward her for behaving well. Lol.

P9041867

I had actually made reservations at Bread Street Kitchen but subsequently cancelled it after reading not so good reviews. In the end, we settled for Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant at Capitol Piazza! It wasn’t such a good idea because we were still full from our lunch and it’s tough to order Chinese dishes for sharing when there are only two people. We ordered half a roast duck with two bowls of plain rice.

P9041873

By the end of the dinner, I was bursting at the seams. Haha.

P9041880

Obviously the hubs is a bad influence because he suggested that we go for round two right after Little misschewy fell asleep.

P9041881

A32A6820

Admired the beautiful night view of Marina Bay from our balcony before we slept.

P9051930

The hotel gave us a complimentary chocolate cake to celebrate the special occasion but I forgot to take a photo of it. The little girl loved it and kept asking for more!

House of Seafood at The Punggol Settlement

P8100961

We went to House of Seafood at The Punggol Settlement for my birthday dinner with the fam. Reached there quite early and took some photos of Little misschewy while my parents were ordering food.

P8100959

Now that the cheeky girl knows how to walk, she just wouldn’t stand still for a shot! Lol.

P8100963

P8100958

P8100986

My parents ordered the set menu and we found that the dishes were so so.. Thus, I won’t be going into detail about the food we ate.

P8100991

P8100993

The Black Pepper Crabs were da bomb though! I hate chili crab and will never ever order it. Haha. My parents like chili crab but since we were celebrating my birthday, black pepper it was!

London Fat Duck at Scotts Square Review

20150812_203933 (1)-001

HOHO! Long time no meet misstamchiak! The last we met was at Chanelle’s one year old party in March. This woman is very busy lol but I’m touched that she remembered my birthday although she wished me one day earlier. *ahem* Ok la I better stop saying that she’s busy if not she will strangle me. Hahaha. Maureen asked me to pick a place and I chose London Fat Duck, knowing that she has not tried the food there!

P8121009

London Fat Duck is a Hong Kong-style restaurant, serving roast duck like the ones made famous by restaurants such as Four Seasons and Gold Mine in Bayswater, London. Using the best Irish Duck famous for its quality, the Signature London Roast Duck ($48.80 whole, $26 half, $12.80 regular) is also affectionately known as “Wagyu of Ducks”. Enhanced with their Hong Kong chef’s secret duck roasting technique and heritage recipe, the duck meat is tender and succulent but what really stole the show was that thick layer of fat underneath the thin crispy skin.

P8121029

Basically, we were there to whack their signature dishes so we ordered the London Roast Duck Noodle ($7.80) as well, even though we were already having half a roast duck. Over here, a roast duck drumstick is served together with thin springy noodles.

P8121022

Don’t you agree that these Crispy London Duck Snow Buns ($4.80 for 3 pcs) look similar to Tim Ho Wan’s char siew buns? The buns were generously filled with juicy chunks of duck meat laden with sweet gravy.

P8121017

These slices of Barbeque Pork with Honey Sauce ($14.80) were also pretty tender with a slightly crisp exterior. I liked that there was a slight smokiness to it.

P8121035

I wouldn’t have thought of trying out the Signature Steamed Chee Cheong Fun ($5.80) if not for Maureen’s suggestion. Thankfully, the fried prawn rolls encased in steamed rice rolls turned out to be quite good! My only complaint is that they were too stingy with the sauce. Lol.

P8121026

I definitely wouldn’t recommend the London Duck Dumpling ($12.80) because it tasted way too weird. I couldn’t even make out what I was eating.

IMG_5316 (1)

Thanks Maureen for the cakes from Chock Full of Beans and also, the generous birthday dinner treat!

P8121033

Please note that London Fat Duck does not accept reservations at the moment. Also, a table will be assigned to you only if everyone in your group is present.

Dulcolax: Providing Effective Relief for Constipation!

Advertorial

_MG_1445

Ask any new mother what are some of the challenges that she faces after child birth and rarely will you hear constipation being listed as one of them. Constipation is a widespread and common problem but most people are embarrassed to talk about it and instead, choose to brush this issue aside. In most cases, it is difficult to pinpoint a single cause as constipation is caused by a combination of things that have a negative impact on the digestive system.

P7040035

Some of the symptoms of constipation include:

When travelling
Our bodies are creatures of habit, and so a change in your normal daily routine can affect your toilet habits. Sometimes even going to unfamiliar toilets might have effect on your bowel movement. Or, if you’ve been worrying about using the loos on a plane, or a long car journey, it can have an effect. New places, eating different types of food or getting dehydrated when you’re abroad can leave you constipated too.

Stress
Feeling a bit stressed out lately? It might be affecting your gut. If you’re struggling with work datelines, money worries, relationship dramas or going through a big change in your life, it can have a knock on effect on your digestive system, as can long term stress.

Hormones
A lot of women say they get a bit constipated just before their period every month. Is that you?

P7040031

I’m sure many of you have had your fair share of experience with constipation at some point in your life and wondered what is the best or most effective way of treating this seemingly embarrassing problem. The best news is.. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Also, there is nothing to be embarrassed about as it is a common problem that can happen to anyone and everyone, babies included especially if they are formula fed.

Apart from babies, constipation can also occur to their mothers, which explains the whole objective of my blog post today, that is to share about my experience with postpartum constipation when I was a new mum myself last year. Actually, some mothers might experience constipation during pregnancy as the pregnancy hormones relaxes and slows down the movement of food through the intestines. As pregnancy progresses, the baby gets bigger and increased downward pressure on the pelvic area makes constipation more likely to occur.

_MG_1468

Towards the end of my third trimester, I began to feel a little constipated and things didn’t improve even after I delivered. I guess it was also because of all the pain and stitching after a natural vaginal birth that made me extra apprehensive about trying to move my bowels in the hospital. I mean, wouldn’t it be scary if your stitches rip apart?! The thought of it is enough to turn my legs into jelly. I remember confiding in my gynae that I was worried about not being able to empty my bowels before I was being discharged and she readily got a nurse to administer a rectal suppository for me.

P7170039

Despite having a confinement nanny, my first two weeks being a new mother was a stressful period and I was in great pain most of the time. Instead of light exercises like walking or swimming which I used to do when I was pregnant, I was in bed all the time, except when I had to eat or visit the bathroom. As for my diet, confinement foods are known to be slightly on the heaty side as mothers are supposed to avoid cooling foods during confinement. In addition to this, I was also taking iron supplements. I believe all these factors contributed to my postpartum constipation in one way or another, and when a fellow mummy told me to give Dulcolax Laxative Tablets a try, I thought why not?

P8241766

Upon hearing the brand “Dulcolax”, I thought it rings a bell and later found out that Dulcolax is the World’s number 1 laxative being around in the market for more than 60 years, providing effective relief for constipation in more than 50 countries worldwide. Also, it is readily available in all leading pharmacies such as Watsons, Guardian and Unity, which probably explains why Dulcolax sounded so familiar to me. The brand must have been registered in my mind subconsciously when I was browsing shelves upon shelves in the pharmacies!

P8241773

When I first got my hands on a box of Dulcolax Laxative Tablets, I was a little doubtful that these tablets would get the job done. They are sooo tiny! But really, do not judge the effectiveness of a laxative tablet by its size. I later found out for myself that these tablets are minuscule but powerful! Dulcolax is a gentle laxative and is gentle on the stomach because it acts only when it is needed, at the bowel. Dulcolax laxative tablets must be swallowed whole with water and must not be chewed or crushed because these tablets have a special ‘enteric coating’ which prevents the active ingredient from being released until it reaches the part of the intestines where it is needed to work.

P7170018

Whenever I feel constipated, I use Dulcolax Laxative Tablets about 30 minutes to an hour before my bedtime as it takes about 8 to 12 hours to work. This laxative is safe, providing gentle yet effective overnight relief. Although constipation is a common problem, most people tend to delay seeking relief with laxatives because of the many myths and misconceptions surrounding constipation and laxatives which are not evidence based. Having tried and tested these Dulcolax Laxative Tablets myself, I find it really work for me! As a breastfeeding mother, I know most mums would be concerned if the active or derivative components of the laxatives get passed into mother’s milk and the answer is NO for Dulcolax! They have a proven study to support this.

P7170049

I’m glad to have found an effective solution for my constipation! In the past, I was not comfortable of taking laxative because I thought it would be addictive and harsh. Thanks to Dulcolax Tablets for solving my constipation problem, improving my quality of life!

If you are not entirely sure if you are suffering from constipation, feel free to take a simple quiz or share your own experience with constipation here http://www.myconstipationrelief.com/get_your_solution/symptom_checker.html
Lastly, let’s remember to treat constipation during its early stages before things turn complicated! Dulcolax Laxative Tablets can be found in all leading pharmacies.

A couple of months back, misterchewy and I took Little misschewy to Cool De Sac at Suntec City. I almost forgot that this draft is sitting somewhere so here I am trying to complete it. LOL. I’m sure Cool De Sac is not new to most parents since its opening early 2014.

Unlike Happy Willow which we had reviewed earlier, Cool De Sac has lockers for rent at about $7, of which $5 is refundable upon returning the key.

The baby changing area is clean and well-maintained but I personally feel that this area is quite open as there is no door and anyone can walk in freely. We took Little misschewy to the baby changing room outside Cool De Sac instead.

It happened to be the last day of school holidays and the indoor playground was quite packed with excited screaming kids.

Father and daughter going down the slide together! Little misschewy’s expression is epic la.

P6260033

She liked it and wanted to go on the slide again!

P6260050

There is a small play area for younger kids and we spent most of our time there.

The Benjamins Singapore Food Review

P8141074

If you have not heard of The Benjamins at Forum The Shopping Mall, then shame on you. Hahaha ok la just kidding. BUT seriously, if you are active on Instagram, it’s really quite impossible to not be bombarded with photos of these ridiculously colorful and over-the-top milkshakes that are currently available at The Benjamins, previously known as Benjamin Browns Bistro and Bakery. These milkshakes have taken social media by storm and during our visit last week, every table had at least one of these milkshakes.

The cafe is very small and seats no more than 30. Luckily I arrived early and managed to get a table while waiting for Mag. A crazy long queue started forming after 7.30pm and I could almost feel death stares in our direction as we were taking our own sweet time taking photos. LOL. #sorrynotsorry Everyone around us were also busying Instagramming the milkshakes lor!

P8141058

When I first took a quick glance at the menu, I realized the food at The Benjamins is quite expensive! Anyway, I went ahead to order the 200g Canadian Pork Chop ($25) because it was calling out to me. I must say that it didn’t disappoint as it was very succulent, just that it could be a little bit more tender!

P8141063

Mag had the 400g Duck Confit ($32) but wasn’t particularly impressed. She mentioned that at least the potato gratin was nice!

P8141051

We came here for THIS. Actually, we were planning to order one each since it’s so Instagram-worthy but the price is.. Ouch. Instead of vanilla, we opted for Old School Nutella Banana ($16) for the best of both worlds – it looks aesthetically pleasing and tastes yummy too! Vanilla would be too boring for our taste buds.

P8141065

HAHAHA did you notice that the cotton candy shrank and most of the iced gem biscuits rolled off the whipped cream?! I was also trying hard not to laugh out loud when a girl screamed because her ice cream cone fell out. LOLOLOL.

P8141068

We split the bill which came up to about $40++ per person. Cafe hoppers, please take note. Haha. If you just wanna find out what the milkshake hype is all about, then skip the mains and go for the shakes! 😉 Stay connected with us on Facebook www.facebook.com/missuschewy and on Instagram @missuschewy and @misterchewy 🙂
