Mother’s Day Dinner at Shima Japanese Restaurant

A32A2563

Happy Mother’s Day to all amazing and selfless mummies out there! Being a mother is definitely very rewarding and of course tiring but at the end of the day, we know that the blood, sweat and tears are all worth it. As a full-time working mum, I’m always half dead by the time I reach home from work. More often than not, I fall asleep with the girls while the hubs and I shush-pat them to sleep (actually it’s just Cayla), which can be a good thing cuz it means I get to sleep early before 10pm BUT I would have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to wash and sterilise milk bottles etc. The entire cycle repeats from Monday to Friday and I find that I’m just going through the motions everyday. It’s like there’s no meaning to life? Looks like I have to do something about it soon! 😉

A32A2480

So anyway, the hubs and I seldom have our own couple time but things are getting slightly better lately! He proposed a Mother’s Day dinner celebration after work on Friday for just the two of us and he managed to make childcare arrangements with both my mother and mother-in-law. To be honest, I felt like cancelling on him cuz I was really tired after a long week of craziness at home (both kids were sick) and at work but decided it wouldn’t be fair to him since he had made the effort to find a nice place (I assumed! LOL) for dinner. To cut the long story short, the surprise dinner location was Tatsuya at Goodwood Park Hotel but there was a large group booking which took up the entire indoor seating area. I was disappointed when we were ushered to a table outdoors, by the road side, where it was dark and pretty humid. We then decided to walk over to Shima instead! Good thing there’s another Japanese restaurant at Goodwood Park!

A32A2486

My mood was instantly lifted when we stepped into the air-conditioned restaurant. HAHA. I can’t live without aircon la. Took a glance at the menu and prices seemed pretty reasonable. The hubs ordered the Sakura set ($80) while I settled for the Unagi set ($90) so that we could try different dishes! We actually ordered another Sashimi Moriawase to share but the chef and waitress pointed out that it is also included in one of our sets and advised that we cancel our order because it might sashimi overload for us. Love the thickly cut slices of fish which was really fresh and succulent!

A32A2489

The Tempura features prawns, brinjal and green capsicum. Crispy and piping hot!

A32A2491

I love tucking into a Unagi Don every now and then. Not sure if it’s an acquired taste but I had to persuade misterchewy to give it a try during our dating days and I can’t say he’s a fan of unagi. During my second pregnancy, I craved unagi most of the time! The unagi at Shima was really good but I left most of my rice untouched cuz too full!

A32A2492

SUSHI GOALS like seriously?! Every piece of Sushi is like a pretty work of art! Totally blown away by the Chef’s choice of sushi here. This is part of misterchewy’s Sakura set.

A32A2502

Tiny flower petals on a sushi! And yes, the floral scent was pretty discernible.

A32A2504

The Chicken Katsu was quite tender, although I felt that the skin was a little too tough for a couple of pieces. The hubs felt that it was alright so it was probably just the ones that I picked.

A32A2514

Soup in a tea pot! We thought the waitress forgot our bowls and it turned out that the cups are placed on top of the pot. Haha! The soup is available for both our sets.

A32A2524

We squeezed the slice of lime into the soup, which contained some ingredients like shiitake mushroom, ginkgo, and bamboo shoot.

A32A2528

Soup was savoury yet refreshing!

A32A2530

Warabi Mochi on the house, courtesy of the Chef! Hehe not sure is it because he saw us taking plenty of photos of every single dish from start to end. LOL! It was chilled and chewy but it was a pity that we didn’t really like the taste of it.

A32A2532

Fresh cut fruits to end our marvelous meal!

A32A2510

On the overall, the food at Shima kept our bellies full, warm and happy! Total damage was slightly over $200, inclusive of refillable iced green tea at $4 each. Hehe I guess we should do this more often! 😛

The Chewys’ Valentine’s Day 2017

A32A1113

The hubs and I celebrated our 7th Valentine’s Day together this year! We didn’t celebrate on the actual day and instead, we took leave from work on Friday that same week to have lunch together. It was a good move because we avoided the ridiculous prices that most restaurants were charging for their Vday set menu and also every other couple who were celebrating the occasion! I suggested having lunch at CreatureS because I wanted to try the food there for the longest time and it was a good opportunity to do so without the kids! We ordered two dishes from the Sharing menu and two other Mains. Food was quite good! The sharing items were way better than the mains though.

A32A1073

Hainanese Chicken Rice Roll ($20)

A32A1079

Kong Ba Pau ($22)

A32A1099

Garden and Crab Risotto ($34)

A32A1109

Rendang Lamb Shank ($34)

A32A1097

A32A1145

After our meal, we adjourned to Foxhole Café for dessert! Not that we were not full. I just wanted to check out this pretty café!

A32A1138

A32A1170

Just a simple update on our Valentine’s Day celebration! 🙂 Have a great week!

Swissotel Merchant Court Family Staycation

A32A0118

Hello chewy chewy friends! We are baaaack after a short hiatus! Hehe. Earlier this year, The Chewys went for our very first family staycation of 2017 at Swissotel Merchant Court! Now that we are a family of four, spacious rooms, children-friendly amenities and convenient location are one of our top priorities when we are planning a staycation. Our experience with another relatively new hotel late last year wasn’t such a pleasant one because they do not provide baby bath tubs.

P1080287

Swissotel Merchant Court is a luxury hotel ideally located by Clarke Quay, within walking distance of the shopping malls and numerous F&B establishments at Clarke Quay. It is also close to major places of interest.

P1080286

We were there on a Saturday and check-in was efficient.

A32A0043

All of us were very excited upon entering the room!

A32A0050

Feels like a home away from home! Our beautifully appointed room was spacious yet cosy, and well-equipped!

A32A0051

A32A0053

A32A0045

A32A0054

The hubby caught sight of the WII games and got very excited!

P1080284

We were pleasantly surprised to receive a personal handwritten card from the General Manager, along with a platter of fresh fruits. Even the kids got a card from “Uncle” Rainer!

A32A0057

At no extra cost, the Handy Smartphone is available in all rooms for guests to use during their stay at Swissotel Merchant Court. I find that this will be especially useful for overseas travellers.

A32A0058

My favourite TWG tea sachets are complimentary! There were four different types – Japanese Sencha, Morrocan Mint, French Earl Grey and English Breakfast!

A32A0062

Well-stocked mini bar

A32A0067

Oh look what have we got here! A connecting room for the kids! The Swissotel Kids’ Room was equally spacious and age-appropriate amenities can be provided upon request.

A32A0064

Even the kids’ bathroom looks amazing! The cute bathroom amenities will definitely put a smile on anyone’s face!

A32A0068

A32A0076

A32A0069

Apart from the cute stuffed toys on each bed, there were children’s story books, cartoon DVDs, toys, as well as coloring book and pencils! The room is definitely very child-friendly and glasses have been replaced with plastic cups.

A32A0219

Little misschewy was quite occupied for a really long time and we had difficulty trying to coax her to leave the room during dinner time!

A32A0101

P1070125

A staycation doesn’t feel complete without a dip in the hotel pool!

P1070130

When we were there on a Saturday afternoon, the pool was packed with throngs of people! I’m guessing it had something to do with the giant water slide. Haha.

P1070145

There’s also a baby pool for younger children to waddle about!

Furama RiverFront Singapore Family Staycation Review

A32A9350

A big HELLO from The Chewys! It’s so difficult to take a proper family photo with two young kids these days and when we checked into Furama RiverFront Singapore for our staycation recently, we just had to pose for one in the gorgeous Family Room that we stayed in. We have made travel plans but it will only take place early next year, so in the meantime, Furama RiverFront promises to create equally memorable moments in their newly launched Family Rooms. Featuring a comfortable space with two queen beds in a colorful setting, The Chewys can attest to that!

A32A9346

When we tapped the electronic card and entered our room, Little misschewy ran in excitedly before exclaiming, “Wow! So nice!” The colorful wall certainly brightens up the room and we all know how important colors are in our lives!

A32A9348

The Family Rooms are spacious enough to accommodate up to two adults and two kids. Even though Mini misschewy has her own playpen at home, the four of us always co-sleep in our queen sized bed. It’s also the reason why we didn’t request for a baby cot for our stay at Furama Riverfront. Anyway, two queen sized beds! What luxury! Misterchewy and Little misschewy shared one bed, while I co-slept with Mini misschewy. It was awesome because I didn’t have to push any hand or leg out of my face, if you know what I mean! LOL.

PA290520

PA290523

A32A9344

There was a platter of fruits and some titbits such as iced gem biscuits and peanut candies in the room. Little misschewy was quick to help herself to the biscuits while lounging on the couch watching cartoon. She really knows how to pamper herself la!

A32A9460

Complimentary bottled water and hot drinks. Ooh there’s Milo too! Instead of using glasses, Furama RiverFront is thoughtful enough to place plastic cups and spoons in the Family Rooms. Don’t have to worry about kids breaking a glass and getting a bad cut from it!

A32A9461

Look who’s helping herself to a packet of full cream milk from the mini-bar? What you see in there is complimentary!

A32A9465

Bathrobes and bedroom slippers for adults and the little ones! Adorable!

A32A9335

A32A9337

Toiletries for children are also included!

A32A9469

Gotta love the step stool! Little misschewy was able to brush her teeth and wash her hands without having us to carry her.

The Square @ Furama

After all the excitement, we got really hungry and proceeded to The Square @ Furama for late lunch.

Tykes @ The Square 2
Credit: Furama Riverfront

Children aged 4 years old and below dine for free when ordering from the special ala carte kid’s menu. Apart from that, there is a dedicated kid’s play area within the restaurant – Tykes @ The Square, with interesting and fun activities such as popular cartoon video screenings, activity sheets and free-play toys. Parents can finally eat in peace, but please don’t forget to watch over your kids while you eat ok!

PA290548

PA290537

We ordered some fresh honeydew juice to quench our thirst on this hot day! Totally refreshing!

PA290549

We ordered from the a la carte menu and I had the Hainanese chicken rice. The portion was quite generous and it was so delicious that it definitely satisfied my chicken rice craving!

PA290557

It took quite a while for the hubs’ lamb shank to arrive but it was totally worth the wait. The meat was cooked till fork-tender and it was still very succulent! Should have paired it with a glass of red!

Playroom - PAWS
Credit: Furama Riverfront

As part of Furama RiverFront’s efforts to create a family-friendly environment for guests, they have introduced the Kid’s playroom – PAWS at level 1, for juniors aged 5-11 years old. Children get to jump around on the trampoline, build their dream castle or empire with blocks, LEGO, and practice their drawing skills on the black or white board. The little ones can enjoy cartoon screenings at PAWS as well. Babysitting services are available at a minimal cost, and can be arranged by booking a day in advance. Great for busy parents!

A32A9479

As it had rained earlier that day, we decided to put off swimming to the next day. Furama RiverFront’s location is really convenient! The hubs and I wore the girls and we walked to Robertson Quay for dinner! It was a really short walk which took about 10 to 15 minutes. Loved the nightlife and variety of food choices there! But if you prefer to stay in the hotel, there’s buffet dinner available at The Square @ Furama!

A32A9473

A32A9500

Watched a bit of cartoon before calling it a night!

I didn’t wanna get out of bed the next morning because it was sooo comfy! By the time I woke up, it was already past 10am and the buffet breakfast closes at 10.30am! Misterchewy and Little misschewy went down to grab a quick bite while I continued to snuggle in bed with Mini misschewy.

A32A9325

It’s time for a dip in the pool! Whoohoo!

PA309489

Little misschewy loveeees being in the water and she could hardly contain her excitement!

We brought our own float along but the hotel also provides pool noodles and styrofoam water guns.

Pompompurin Cafe Singapore Afternoon Tea

IMG_8588

Confinement over lo! Hahaha I was supposed to do 40 days of confinement but the agency mistakenly assigned me a nanny who could only do 28 days. Not complaining though! On 9 Sept, we celebrated misterchewy’s birthday and our 5th ROM anniversary. We had a last minute change of plans due to some reasons and I decided we should check out Pompompurin Cafe at Orchard Central!

P9090013

The cafe does not accept reservations but we were there on Friday, at a pretty odd timing, thus the place was relatively empty.

P9090015

Pompompurin at every table!

P9090014

Pompompurin fans will be pleased to know that Pompompurin merchandise is available for purchase at the cafe.

P9090016

Took some photos while waiting for the food to arrive, which took waaaay too long! Little misschewy wasn’t very keen to pose for photos and we had to cajole her.

IMG_8603

Our high tea set is here, like FINALLY! We didn’t eat lunch before that and was a little shocked to see what was offered. Ok la my fault for not scrutinising the photo on the menu before ordering. But I don’t think it’s justifiable that the set costs $50! If you are keen to try, it’s only available from Mondays to Fridays, 2pm to 5pm.

FullSizeRender (1)

So hard to take a proper photo now. Hahaha. Look at Little misschewy’s expression!

P9090034

The high tea set looks cute but taste wise, it was only mediocre at best. Maybe we should have tried other items instead! Shall let the remaining photos speak for themselves!

Sheraton Towers Singapore Staycation 2016

A32A8180

We booked a two-night stay with Sheraton Towers Singapore on a whim recently because I’m due in about a month! Thought we should enjoy as much as we can now before the new baby arrives! Also, SPG is having a Triple Up promotion till end July for Sheraton properties so it was something we didn’t wanna miss! Our first time staying at Sheraton was last Valentine’s Day, and I had blogged about it briefly here.

A32A8165

Since I had my camera with me, I took a few photos of our room. I think it’s still the same as last year, but we got a room on a much higher floor this time. Very simple but spacious and comfortable room.

A32A8170

A32A8191

If I’m not wrong, the Handy smartphone is new. Didn’t see this last year. It is a complimentary smartphone service for guests to enjoy unlimited 3G internet and local calls. How awesome is that, especially for overseas guests!

A32A8172

A32A8173

A32A8238

I’m not sure who what where when why and how BUT we were so surprised when someone sent up a platter of desserts and a framed photograph taken during our Japan holiday. Coincidentally, it’s the photo that I use for my laptop’s wallpaper!

A32A8350

I was wearing the Lace Overlay Dress from Jump Eat Cry. The color and design are just so unique!

A32A8450

We wanted to enjoy one day of peace and quiet, so Little misschewy joined us only on the second day. LOL. After brunch and looking at some rabbits in the East, we basically nua-ed the whole day in our room and ordered food via Deliveroo.

A32A8452

So engrossed in the cartoon!

A32A8455

A32A8474

It will be a party of four for our next staycation! 😀

Seafood & Champagne Afternoon Tea at The Westin

P6107935

Amidst all the craziness over the past two weeks when Little misschewy was hospitalised, misterchewy and I managed to spend some well-deserved couple time relaxing over afternoon tea after an appointment with our gynae. After all, we had cancelled some of our plans but a pregnant mother still has to carry on eating for two! LOL.

P6107936

Taking advantage of the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) Twice as Nice promotion (which ended on 15 June), where SPG members get to earn double Starpoints whenever they dine with SPG outside of a stay, it was my perfect excuse to experience having afternoon tea on the 32nd level of The Westin, at Lobby Lounge.

P6107933

The husband and I were at The Westin on a Friday and afternoon tea is served from 2.30pm to 5pm on weekdays. There are two seatings for afternoon tea on weekends. We reached slightly early, so we took some photos around the area.

P6107925

For our afternoon tea date, I specially chose this Sequin Flare Dress from Jump Eat Cry, which is now one of my top favourites in my wardrobe! I seldom wear white and was secretly surprised when the husband complimented that white looks good on me 😀 Jump Eat Cry is currently having a GSS Mega Sale till end June, with selected pieces going for up to 50% off! Quote ‘MISSUSCHEWY15‘ to enjoy additional 15% discount! Super good deal! I’m so in love with their maternity wear because it really flatters the bump! Just an update that I’m past 30 weeks now! Kinda lost count if I’m 31 or 32 weeks! Or is it 33?! LOL.

P6107937

We strolled in at 2.30pm and chose one of the seats by the window. Actually, majority of the seats were next to the window so it wouldn’t be difficult to snag one especially on a weekday. Not sure if I can say the same for weekends! Anyway, we were told that food will only be served around 2.45pm which wasn’t really an issue for us since afternoon tea is supposed to be a slow and leisurely affair. Haha.

P6107938

Instead of a nice full view of the South China Sea and the Marina Bay, construction works also came into the picture. Pun intended. Not exactly the most amazing view, but nevermind.

P6107973

Lobby Lounge at The Westin serves the most indulgent and luxurious afternoon tea in Singapore! How does having lobsters, oysters and crab legs with a glass of bubbly sound? That’s The Westin’s Seafood and Champagne Afternoon Tea for you! We found ourselves rubbing our hands with glee when the first course, which comprised of Lobster Thermidor and Fresh Oysters, was served.

P6107971

Cooked lobster in creamy white wine sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese and broiled till golden brown, this spells perfection! There were three kinds of dipping to go with your lobster – champagne dressing, lychee bourbon and lime, and shallot vinaigrette. All three were equally good, but eating the lobster on its own works fine too! There were fresh oysters as well but they weren’t exactly very meaty.

P6107962

The second course was served on a three-tier stand. Items from the bottom two tiers are actually the same as the portions are meant for two.

P6107950-001

Lovely sight, isn’t it!

P6107966

Really like the presentation of the afternoon tea items!

P6107952

On the top tier, we have the Blini Alaska crab salad topped with salmon roe, garnished with chunks of grapefruits, pomelo and grapefruits jelly. It was small enough that we could pop the entire thing into our mouths. Very crunchy and somehow, the taste reminded us of McD’s Fillet-o-Fish. LOL.

P6107955

There were more fried items from the bottom tiers. We started with the Alaska crab tempura with avocado, apple, pine nuts and tuna tartar, followed by the Lobster cake with tomato and avocado salsa. The taste wasn’t exceptional but I like how avocado was incorporated here. Seared butter oyster with horseradish cream and grilled lemon was quite good but I still prefer my oysters raw. Spicy scallop salad with apple and pear walnut salad was a little over done and not too memorable. The husband liked the Chard salmon sushi which had an interesting presentation where we got to inject soy sauce into the sushi.

P6107985

After all the savoury items, we were happy to be greeted by this plate of desserts of carrot cake, strawberry lemon tartlet, salted caramel chocolate finger, green tea cheese cake, raspberries lime profiteroles and assorted chocolate crunch! It’s so hard for me to pick a favourite because I have a sweet tooth but misterchewy claimed that the salted caramel chocolate finger was the best of the lot. If I really had to choose, it would be either the strawberry lemon tartlet or raspberries lime profiteroles.

P6107969

We really enjoyed The Westin’s jazzed-up interpretation of a leisurely afternoon tea. It was definitely a first for us, indulging in seafood and champagne, and ending afternoon tea off with a platter of sweets. Priced at $85++ for two persons inclusive of two glasses of Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label, we reckon that the Seafood and Champagne Afternoon Tea is one of the best afternoon tea in Singapore! To make your afternoon tea experience sweeter, you can also have the afternoon tea set with a whole bottle of champagne at just $130++.

Afternoon Tea at Pollen, Gardens by the Bay

P5147635-horz

Since Little misschewy had not been to Gardens by the Bay, we went there recently with the intention to check out Tulipmania at Flower Dome. Somehow, reading up on Tulipmania online led me to discover that Pollen, housed within Flower Dome, serves afternoon tea! Our previous visit to Pollen was way back in 2012 and we had celebrated my birthday by having their set lunch. If you are keen to have a laugh at our old photos, here’s the link lol. Fast forward 4 years later, we are back with Chewy Junior #1 and a little bun in the oven! 😀

P5147644

Anyway, back to afternoon tea! Contrary to what is stated on some blogs/websites, I have managed to confirm that Pollen serves afternoon tea from 3pm to 5pm daily, except on Tuesdays as the restaurant is closed. Reservations are required for afternoon tea and charges are based on the number of diners. Complimentary access to Flower Dome is provided to all guests at Pollen. You can visit Flower Dome before or after dining at Pollen at your convenience, but entry to The Dome has to be made through the restaurant.

P5147667

Love this belly bump shot captured by misterchewy. I have lost count of the number of weeks I was when we visited Gardens but one thing I knew for sure, I can no longer fit into any of my clothes! :O I really like this Pastel Lace Dress from Jump Eat Cry, which is very light and comfortable! They have a wide collection of maternity and nursing wear which is very versatile for various occasions! Here’s a special discount code for our readers! Simply quote MISSUSCHEWY15 to enjoy 15% off your order! No minimum purchase is required but take note that the code expires on 30th June 2016.

P5147560

P5147583

Afternoon tea is served at Pollen Terrace, on the second level. If you are lucky, you might get one of the tables overlooking Flower Dome.

P5147581

Pollen’s Afternoon Tea Menu is priced at $38++ per person which includes 5 types of savouries and 5 types of sweets, including a choice of coffee or tea. The food items are non-replenishable, while the hot drinks are only refilled with hot water.

P5147569

An assortment of open-faced sandwiches are served as savouries.

Norwegian salmon, crème fraiche, dill and pickled cucumbers – Quite good; it was one of our favourites.
Braised chicken and avocado butter – Another favourite of ours.
Focaccia with mozzarella, confit tomatoes and black olive crumbs – Tomatoes were very sweet and refreshing.
Hummus dips with dukkah spices and toast – Didn’t really like this.
24 hours short ribs, mustard, pickles, alfalfa – Replaced with braised chicken as we don’t take beef.

On the overall, the open-faced sandwiches were rather tasty, except that the bread slices were a little hard and crusty.

P5147575

Chocolate and macadamia brownies – Dense and moist. Chanelle’s favourite.
Banana tea cake with salted caramel chantilly – Went well with my Lavender Harmony tea!
Vanilla cream puff – Vanilla bean specks spotted!
Passion fruit meringue tart – A mix of sweet and tart. Very nice!
Macaron – Had the right amount of chewiness!

The sweets fared pretty well too!

At $38++ for 10 types of small bites and a choice of tea or coffee per diner, I personally feel that afternoon tea at Pollen is slightly on the pricier side. However, it was a lovely experience having afternoon tea within Flower Dome!

Tokyo Disneyland: The Happiest Place on Earth

Tokyo Disneyland

OHAIYOU! It has been two weeks since we got back from our Japan trip and we are still suffering the post-holiday blues! Before we share more about our Japan itinerary as highly requested already by a number of readers, we will first be doing a series of short posts on certain places of interests. Of course, we will kick things off by sharing our trip to Tokyo Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth! This was my third visit, misterchewy’s second and Little misschewy’s first!

P3170190

Little misschewy’s birthday was on a Friday but after much deliberation, we decided to go to Disneyland a day earlier to avoid the weekend crowd. A few weeks before, we bought our tickets via Tokyo Disneyland’s website, which in our opinion, is a highly recommended move if you want to get into the theme park as swiftly as possible! WHEEE! WE ARE READY! 😀

IMG_3952

We went straight for the Castle Carrousel ride at Fantasyland!

P3170209

Spinning teacups and saucers at Alice’s Tea Party!

P3170210

P3170216

P3170220

Fly on a pirate ship to Never Land at Peter Pan’s Flight!

P3170223

This is nice but be prepared to queue at least an hour!

P3170229

Dumbo the Flying Elephant!

P3170230

Somehow, I was quite amused by the sight of all these parked strollers. Haha.

P3170240

Little misshewy actually ran towards the Castle Carrousel and gave us a cheeky smile, indicating that she wanted to go on the ride again.

P3170251

P3170254

We managed to catch the colorful Daytime Parade, “Happiness is Here”!

P3170252

This colorful parade filled with fun will make your heart thrill with happiness. Goofy leads the parade followed by a float designed with a huge Mickey Mouse toy. And there’s a float that expresses the vibrant, lovely world of the Disney princesses and fairies, and lots more. The parade presents all kinds of happiness for you to experience.

P3170300

After all the excitement, we took a short break by stopping at one of the restaurants at Disneyland for lunch. As expected, the food was overpriced and tasted mediocre. But we really needed to rest our legs plus the little one was sleeping in the Tula.

P3170304

Pooh’s Hunny Hunt at Toon Town!

P3170309

HAHAHA Little misschewy was frightened by the weird lightings and loud noises from the honey shooting game.

P3170311

P3170330

P3170335

I think Little misschewy adores Donald Duck as much as I do! She was shouting “Nonald Nuck! Nonald Nuck!” but it was a pity they stopped allowing people to queue for photos with Donald 🙁

P3170338

P3170341

P3170343

We saw many kids and teenage schoolgirls with popcorn buckets slung around their necks and couldn’t resist getting one for Little misschewy as well. Actually, there are plenty of other designs but we were too lazy to scout for them. This is one of the popular designs featuring characters from Frozen.

P3170351

We got the normal Caramel flavoured popcorn but if you are popcorn connoisseur like one of our neighbours, you can also try the other flavours such as Salt, Curry, Chocolate, Honey, Strawberry and Soy Sauce & Butter! You can’t get all flavours at one location, so check the map!

P3170349

This girl really very happy leh!

P3170377

We managed to get one miserable Fast Pass at Tomorrowland and we used it for Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!

P3170359

P3170363

P3170360

It was quite a run ride and our first time on it!

P3170378

After Little misschewy’s diaper change and milk feed at the Baby Center, we headed to one of the shops and these caught my attention!

P3170380

If you refer to the photo of our lunch earlier, you will notice that this is a mini replica of our pork katsu bun!

P3170384

P3170385

P3170381

I bought the miniature Donald Duck popcorn bucket but now I kinda regret not getting the pork katsu bun and Mickey pancake!

P3170388

I think it was about 7pm when we sat and joined the crowd for the Nighttime Parade, “Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights”.

P3170395

The Disney stars are literally sparkling in this nighttime parade of lights and music. With Mickey and his pals, including characters from Aladdin, Toy Story and other Disney films, appearing on colorful floats, nighttime in the Park is even more fantasy-filled.

After the intriguing Electrical Parade, we rushed off to It’s A Small World at Fantasyland. As children of the world sing, enjoy the “happiest cruise that ever sailed”. This is one of my favourite rides in Tokyo Disneyland and I love to experience this all over again each time I visit the park.

Fireworks were cancelled so we decided to leave as it had been a long and fruitful day for us!

The Chewys’ Bintan Getaway Day Two

P8221562

TGIF everybardy! We are here to continue from where we left off for our previous blog post. This will sum up the rest of our Bintan getaway!

P8221474

On the second day, we woke up bright and early so that we could fill our stomachs before embarking on our activities for the day!

P8221475

P8221466

The food was okay I guess. We tried a little bit of everything while making sure not to overeat. Haha.

P8221576

WHOOHOO! Time for a dip in the pool!

P8221575

The pool looked really inviting and you can even sit back and relax with some drinks.

P8221547

P8221566

We didn’t exactly swim but just waded around and cooled off in the water.

P8221585

Walked over to the beach for our jet skiing session.

P8221587

The hubs and I went separately so that we could take photos for each other. LOL.

P8221619

P8221634

30 minutes of jet skiing felt like eternity! I honestly don’t know which is scarier – ATV or jet ski. When I was jet skiing, I kept imagining that I would lose control and fall into the deep sea while doing sharp turns and end up getting eaten by sharks. Paranoid much. But on the overall, it was a very fun experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again and again!
