Run by a husband and wife team, Naomi Kitchen was first established at Golden Mile Hawker Centre in 2010 which then expanded to a shop space at Crawford Lane and subsequently at Tampines Mall. A lot of emphasis is placed not only on taste, and it is clear that Naomi’s products are visually appealing as well. Do take note that the outlet at Crawford Lane kinda works like a takeaway counter.
Starting with a savory item, the Chicken Shepherd Pie ($2.80) hit all the right notes with a very delectable and piquant chicken stew sauce, with chunks of meat, mushroom and carrots.
The Mixed Fruit Slice Cake ($3) is definitely something that you should try! The fresh cream is very light in taste, and not too sweet on the taste buds. Biting into the different types of fruits gives a burst of delicious juiciness that is simply marvelous.
Fresh cream and fresh fruits are also used to create the various types of Fruit Rolls ($1.20 – $2.20/piece or $5.50 – $10/uncut roll). I like the different combinations of fruits being used and also the fact that Naomi is so generous with the sizes and portions of their fruits!
Naomi Kitchen Bakeshoppe has a wonderful assortment of Mixed Fruit Tarts ($1.70 per piece, $3.20 for 2 pcs or $10 per dozen) so there’s something for everyone!
How does a Grapes Cheese Cake ($2.20) sound? Yeah it does seem a little sinful but hey, at least there are chunks of grapes in it!
Apart from the swiss rolls and fruit tarts, Naomi Kitchen Bakeshoppe also sells Tiramisu ($4.50) which tasted quite strongly of coffee liquer.
Thank you Naomi Kitchen Bakeshoppe for the invitation.
